Happy Halloween! It’s been a busy week in gaming with the usual Halloween themed sales and updates happening recently to most games. There is also plenty of Halloween related gaming events to take part in and a few interesting games have been released plus much more.
TaleWorlds Entertainment announced yesterday that Mount & Blade Warband will get a new DLC called the Viking Conquest. The last bit of DLC for Mount & Blade Warband was the Napoleonic Wars DLC and this time it is going for the same amount of realism but set in the 8th century instead of the 19th century and will include a single player campaign. Viking Conquest will have a detailed Europe map, 300 locations, 21 kingdoms, 6 cultures, 200 historical characters, two religions, new battle systems, 15 companions, improved AI, siege warfare, new items and loads more.
Tripwire Interactive have once again returned with a special event for Halloween. Its called the Halloween Horror Double Feature and features a new Halloween map (Club Clandestine), Halloween zeds, new achievements and the Toy Master mod which replaces all enemies with evil toys. It’s also part of the Steam “Free Weekend Weekend” which means Killing Floor is on sale for up to 75% off, free to play over the weekend and offers new bundle DLC (which haven’t been added yet on Steam).
Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition are two RPG remakes based on the classic games of the same name, they are now available for 50% off on GOG.com. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition are developed by Beamdog and only cost £6.19 and £7.79 respectively until October 19th when they will cost £12.49 and £15.59.
Video game publishers Paradox Interactive and developers Paradox Development Studios have released their latest DLC for Crusader Kings II. The eight major DLC expansion for the game is called Charlemagne and adds 100 years to the start of the game (769 AD) and focuses on the rise of Charlemagne and The Holy Roman Empire. The patch 2.2.0 patch includes many new things such as tribal holdings, a new tutorial, new laws, cultures and religions. There is also three cosmetic DLC and an e-book called The Song of Roland which is a good companion to Charlemagne.
Fantasy Life is an RPG developed by Level-5 and published by Nintendo (published by Level-5 in Japan) on the Nintendo 3DS where you can play the roles of twelve different Life paths from a lowly fisherman to a noble knight. I have made this guide which provides beginners tips, shows basic game controls, help on character progression, information about the many Life paths, the Gold Lunares Coin items and more. Nintendo’s latest system update for the Nintendo 3DS adds themes to allow users to customise the design and sounds of their HOME Menu. The update includes five free themes with additional themes available for purchase from the new Theme Shop which can be changed via the HOME Menu settings.
